  • AKCOME leads the way in residential rooftops in the Netherlands!

    Akcome 2024-03-20 0 times

On March 19th, the Solar Solutions International Expo kicked off in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with a focus on innovating and applying solar technology over three days. At this exhibition, AKCOME's AK iPower series HJT 745W and 450W modules and AK iTopper series TOPCon 620W module garnered widespread attention, spearheading the green energy movement in the Netherlands.

As a nation highly committed to environmental conservation, the Netherlands deeply acknowledges the seriousness of environmental vulnerability and global warming, including issues like rising sea levels. Consequently, the Dutch government has prioritized establishing robust energy and climate plans to achieve sustainability. In May 2019, the Netherlands passed the Climate Act, pledging to systematically transition towards sustainable energy. Building on this, in December 2021, the Dutch government further presented a governing agreement, positioning the Netherlands as a European leader in combating global warming. This agreement bolsters emission reduction targets: reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% compared to 1990 levels by 2030, 70% by 2035, and 80% by 2040, ultimately achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

Against this policy backdrop, solar energy technology has emerged as a pivotal component of the Netherlands' energy transition. Highlighted by the European Photovoltaic Industry Association, distributed solar photovoltaics (PV) are driving the surge in new PV installations across the country. It is understood that on average, each Dutch citizen owns two solar panels, with the per capita PV installed capacity exceeding 1kw, ranking among the top in Europe. Given the limited land resources in the Netherlands, large-scale development of centralized PV power plants is not practical. Therefore, the development of distributed PV power plants has become an important approach for PV power generation in the Netherlands.

As one of the leading companies in the solar industry, AKCOME has deeply cultivated the Dutch market for many years, amassing considerable expertise in deploying exemplary C&I Rooftops Projects. At the Solar Solutions International Amsterdam, AKCOME has showcased its comprehensive and multi-dimensional technological strength. Leveraging its HJT modules with high dual-sided rates of 85%-95%, low degradation, and high efficiency, AKCOME significantly enhances solar energy utilization by introducing butyl rubber and light-transmitting film into the manufacturing process. The HJT 745W module unveiled by AKCOME at this exhibition also features 0BB technology, achieving an outstanding module conversion efficiency surpassing 23.98%, thereby establishing itself as the flagship product of the event.

During the exhibition, AKCOME's three N-type series modules garnered unanimous recognition from on-site audiences for their impressive conversion efficiency and reliability, perfectly suited for residential, commercial, and ground-mounted applications. The HJT 450W module, specifically tailored for Dutch residential rooftops, stands out with its sleek black aesthetic and engineering design, offering a rare combination of high performance and quality. On the other hand, the TOPCon 620W module excels in conversion efficiency, making it ideal for small to medium-sized distributed power plants. With its ultra-high module conversion efficiency and minimal balance of system (BOS) costs, it maximizes station revenue. AKCOME's presentation of the AK iPower and AK iTopper series products not only highlights the company's technological innovation but also underscores its steadfast commitment to leading the energy transition in the Netherlands.

In the future, as Dutch energy policies are further promoted and technology advances, solar energy technology is expected to become even more prevalent in the Netherlands. AKCOME will persist in exploring the path of N-type technology to drive down costs, increase efficiency, and play a significant role in building a clean and sustainable energy system worldwide.
